Here’s a nice look at Ron English’s Big Yang and the Yang Bangers toy coming from Gums Productions in late March. This one stands 7" tall and is limited to 500 pcs. There are two colorways — this pink/blue edition and a secret limited one. The secret colorway will be available at the release party in NY on March 23rd (more details to follow). We really dig this figure. Visually it has that double-take look which is always a plus in my opinion. Also, it plays on at least two major cultural properties and remixes then in a fairly unique way. The dual use of the Yang Bangers is hot as well. I’m not completely sold on the googly plastic eyes. Th eyes are certainly retro throwbacks, but I wonder if they’ll take away a bit from the subjective "quality" of the figure. But that’s just quibbling. Big Yang and the Yang Bangers is one to keep an eye on. Oh? Want to grab one? Preorder it from Toy Tokyo — the only online source I’m aware of at this point.
