Amanda Visell and Michelle Valigura’s Ponys

At the recent Hot Lunch show at lalaland gallery, I fell in love with Amanda Visell’s cuddly yet disturbing images of a little girl’s plight from a bully robot. At The Monster Show,
Amanda’s "Girl Ate Boy" was among my favorites. Her illustrations of
cute characters who are usually depicted in not so favorable situations carry a sense of pureness and innocence. And thanks to Amanda, we
have here a peek of her custom pony for the upcoming show The Pony Project in New York. Amanda and her artist friend, Michelle Valigura worked on each other’s pony. The top image
is of  Amanda’s pony with a girl sculpted by Michelle. The X-ray pony is Michelle’s submission  with Amanda contributing the background painting.
