The first Brickboy expo featuring all the contributed designs from such creative talents as Ken Munk and Swak among others opens on October 2nd (4PM to 6PM) at Cafe Jansen and Janssen in Enschede, Netherlands. The exhibition runs through October 30th — plenty of time to make a trip out to the Netherlands 😉
What’s a Brickboy?
It’s the paper-based designer toy creation of Sjors Trimbach. Sjors created the Brickboy design and supplies it as a pdf template for other artists and creative types to design on. There are over 16 varied and excellent brick-boy variants available for free d/l from the Brickboy web site. Once downloaded, print it out, and then assemble with scissors and glue per the instructions! Free designer toy? You bet! Want a more underground and personal form of designer toy than the standard vinyl fig? Brickboy fills that need and then some! Kudos to Sjors for doing his own creative thing and bringing others along for the ride.
