The Nanospore art show opens on at Nucleus Gallery on Saturday September 24th from 8 to 11PM and runs thru October 12th. Nanospore is a partnership between artists Paul Hwang and Ben Lee. IMO, their 2d art is really fresh and has a unique style. In addition, the event at Nucleus will also serve as the release party for their first addition of blind-box mini-fig toys. These look really nice in part because of the art style and in part because they’re so different — mundane objects with a does of Nanospore flavor. This is not your typical platform toy — there are serveral different original sculpts in this series! There are also rumblings of a Nanospore animation in the future (clips were shown at SDCC) which looked quite nice as well.
