The unbelievably talented and prolific Frank Kozik recently posted (original thread) images from one of his newest toy projects, Dr. Bomb, which is scheduled to be released late this year or early next year from Toy2r. Apparently, this one will be produced in various sizes.
My first impression is that I really like the overall elephant shape — the sculpted trunk should look great. Compimenting the overall shape is the incredible level of detail shown in the images– from the
cigarette on one side of the mouth and the tusk on the other, to the wicked scalpels, the bomb accessory and the cool tail.The overall "feel" is pretty edgy and certainly not cute, which is a nice balance with all the lovable yet sometimes overly cute toys that are so popular today. Finally, this figure continues the smoking theme common to many (if not most) of Kozik’s recent toys, including the Smorkin Hate Dunnys, Labbits, Bone Bunnies and the soon-to-be-released Mao Dunny.
Definitely looking forward to this one.
