Shawnimals NoTM: Dumpling Ninja (2.1)

Shawnimals’ Valtentines Day Buffalump Set (01.23)

Need a Valentines Day present for your sweetheart? Releasing on Monday, January 23rd, Shawnimals will be dropping a cute pair of Buffalump plush figures. One can be for you and the other for your Valentine, but if she insists, feel free to give them both. Along with the set, comes a screen-printed Valentines Day card, where you can also add your own special message. The larger Buffalump measures 3.5” wide, while the other measures just under 3”. These Buffalump sets are limited to 50 pieces and will be available HERE at 1PM CDT.

Scott Tolleson – Bernie Cotton

Scott Tolleson and Screaming Sky Gallery have just officially announced Bernie Cotton, the second plush in the Nosellots (knows-a-lots) line.  The follow-up to Lyle Bean, Bernie (13”) will be available in a standard green edition as well as a Screaming Sky exclusive pink. With his business attire,  Bernie is perhaps a bit more formal than Lyle.   Keen-eyed fans might be wondering if Scott has abandoned his signature Argyle pattern with Bernie Cotton.  Nope, it’s just not as conspicuous this time around. Finally, if you’re wondering who the lovely lady is in the pics above, it’s Linda Le (though you probably already knew that…) as shot by Andy Blake.

In4mation & Lightsleepers Presents: Scribe & Alisa Ross in Store (01.28)

Scribe and Alisa Ross will soon be Hawaii bound, as they will take over In4mation for one night. They will be bringing a long with them a ton of custom artwork, paintings, plush, and collaborative pieces. Scribe will also be doing wall murals within the communities of Kalihi, Kaka'ako, and the greater Honolulu area, which will also be showcased during the show. The event will take place on January, 28th from 6-9PM. You also have a chance of winning some prizes by joining on the blackbook battle.

Shawnimals – Ninja of the Month: Action Ninja (01.11)

The first Ninja of the Month and the year has finally been revealed, as it’s Action Ninja. The one who gives us all of our NOTM news has finally been made into plush form. So we have News.. does that mean we will get Weather and Sports? I sure hope so! Action Ninja will be available on Wednesday, January 11th at  1PM CDT for $30 in the NOTM Shop. This plush stands 7” tall and features clip-on tie, microphone, and the very necessary anchorman hair do. This piece is also limited to 100 pieces and comes signed and numbered. Ninja of The Month 2012 Subscriptions

It’s about that time of year again, as Shawnimals will be opening up their Ninja of the Month Subscription for the year 2012. This sub includes 12 all new Ninjatown plush figures and then some! Their will be a limited number of subscriptions available HERE on Monday, December 5th at 10AM CST. How much will you be spending on this awesome package? If you were to buy everything individually, you would be looking to spend $524. If you decide to join the subscription, you would be saving $124 and end up with a price tag of $400 for the whole shebang ($450 International). A Little Stranger - Santa Cavey & Reindeer Coney (12.05)

A Little Stranger’s Plush figures, Cavey and Coney get festive for the holidays. Santa Cavey and his Reindeer Coneys will soon set out towards your toy collection on Monday, December 5th at 8PM London Time. Santa Cavey is limited to 100 pieces worldwide and will be available in the Cavey Shop, as well as The Hang Gang Shop and Playlounge for $25 each. The Reindeer Coney is a different story. They are limited to 9 pieces, each one marked with their names (Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, Rudolph) and available in a blind bag format for $40 each.

Martin Hsu – Puffer Puss Designer Plush

Martin Hsu is ultra excited to reveal his all new Puffer Puss Designer Plush toy. This super soft and extra squishy plush was designed by Martin and handmade by Lana Crooks. This colorway is limited to 50 pieces worldwide, with 15 being released at Designer Con next Saturday at Martin's booth #413. Shawnimals x Kidrobot – Ninja Town Plush Release & Signing Tour (11.03)

Kidrobot and Shawnimals are working together to put out a new series of Ninja Town Plush figures. These stealthy ninjas each feature a cuddly soft fleece body, tricot face, and embroidered eyes that scale up from 4”, up to 9”, and up to even 14”! The Big 14” Wee Ninja retails for $29.95, The Regular Sized 9” Wee Ninja retails for $17.95, and the 4 Pocket Ninjas, which come in multiple styles (Wee Ninja, Zombie Ninja, Business Ninja, Aqua Ninja, and Super Ninja) retail for $9.95 each. We are now at month 10 of Shawnimals’ Ninja of the Month. Available on Wednesday, October 5th at 1PM CDT is the 7” Mastermind Ninja. This devious ninja looking ninja has some how infiltrated the Ninja Academy. Who knows what he is up to, but we all know it cannot be good. Jared Deal – Vlad Plush & Toil and Trouble Resins for NYCC

 

Jared Deal will be posting up once again in The Cultyard at booth #789 for this years NYCC. He will be releasing his most asked about character, Vlad, but in Plush form. Each plush is hand sewn with fleece fabric and polyester stuffing. Also available will be his Toil and Trouble resins. For now, all we have a glimpse of is Trouble, who is one half of the pair of witch cats, who are known for having the ability to shape shift into different forms. For those not able to attend NYCC, Jared will have a pre-sale over on his site on Wednesday, October 12th from 12PM-12AM. If you so happen to forget what Jared’s booth number was, just remember why 6 is afraid of 7.

Jeremiah Ketner & Mariangela Tan – myplasticheart NYCC Exclusives

 

It seems as though the NYCC exclusives from myplasticheart are endless! Here we have a couple more to share with you, which includes a print from Jeremiah Ketner, titled Urchin. This piece was recently seen as an original painting at his solo show at MPH, Magical Place. It will now be available as an exclusive print at the MPH booth #879 at the beginning of NYCC during Jeremiah’s signing on Friday. This print is limited to 30 pieces, so be sure to jump on these fast! Price and time are still TBD.

Mariangela Tan of plushPlay has whipped up more of her Rabbit Racer plush toys, which were last seen at the Soft* plush show at mph last March. These will be available through out the convention as a blind bagged release. There will be the standard white edition as well as a few hidden chase colorways. You can pick yours up for $34 a blind bag. 

Shawnimals - NYCC Exclusive Releases

It looks as though Shawnimals will have your NYCC weekend jam packed with a bunch of Ninja and moustached goodies from their booth #581! We spoke about his exclusive Pork Dumplings through myplasticheart and his booth HERE. But of course, you cannot expect that to be it from our favorite plush company from Chicago, can you?

First up is the Ninja of the Month variant release of the Zombie Ninja. This slimey looking variant stands 7” tall and will be limited to 50 pieces for $40 each. They will also be releasing the Flying Devil edition of their Pocket Undercover Ninja, which are super limited as an edition of 20 pieces. He stands 4” tall and will retail for $25 a piece. Shawnimals are also excited to be releasing some staches for either your homes or your pockets! They will have available their pocket staches, which measure 4” wide for $7 each. Their 16” Moustachios will be available in a white, cream, and taupe colorways at $20 each. Be sure to stop by their booth and give a “Hi” to the Wee Ninja if you see him!

Shawnimals – Ninja of the Month: Frost Ninja (9.7)

Sporting what is apparently a ‘toasty-warm Gort headdress’, Frost Ninja (7”) is the next Ninja of the Month hand-made plush from Shawnimals.  Limited to 100 pieces, the cool one will be released on Wednesday, September 7th @ 11 AM PDT at the Ninja web shop.  As is the NOTM tradition, Frosty comes with a signed/numbered hang tag as well as a character sticker and button.
