Marvel Okinawa x Jeff Soto x Blackbook Toy – Nekofukurou One Offs (3.7)

Marvel Okinawa has worked his painting sorcery on five GID Nekofukurou sofubi toys from Jeff Soto and Blackbook Toy.  If you’ve been following Blackbook Toy’s recent convention offerings you’ll know that Marvel is one of their go-to painters/customizers and that’s because he kills it, time and time again. Four of the five masks shown above will be offered via lotto for 72 hours for 25000 yen each (~ $ 237) beginning on Wednesday March 7th at 7 AM PST and ending on Friday March 10th at 6:59AM PST. What about the fifth – turns out the one on the bottom right is a special gift for Jeff Soto himself – so NFS :)  Oh, did we mention that the one-piece, open end Nekofukurou toys make perfect masks for BBT’s Guy mascot toy? Hit up the official lottery page for full directions on entering (scroll to the very bottom) or see the graphic below.

Toy Geeks Behind The Counter S2 E4: ‘Vinyl Vs. Resin’

This week’s episode of Toy Geeks Behind the Counter video podcast is up on Youtube (and below) for you to geek out to.  Episode 4 of the brand-new second season features guest Tracy Tubera who joins Jack V., Ben, and Jack M.  for an epic showdown of the virtues of vinyl vs. resin—ok, maybe not, but it’s a good discussion. Along the way, we take an extended look at Tracy’s on point resin figures he’s done over the years with Mana Studios. As always, we also review a few other recently released toys.
