Matt Gondek is best known for murals and prints featuring his exploded and deconstructed takes on ‘toons from Mickey to the Simpsons. For 2017, he’s making the jump to 3D with several toy/sculpture projects in the mix.

First out of the chute is Deconstructed Homer, a collaboration with Silent Stage. The bust highlights Gondek’s signature style with bits of Homer melting before our eyes, exposing his skull, jaw and teeth.  The debut Pittsburgh edition drops on Tuesday (5.9) at 11 AM PDT for $169.99 from Silent Stage’s web shop.  Limited to 100 pieces, Homer stands 6” and features a yellow + black design cast in high-impact resin.
