For May, Toy Art Gallery will present Throwback featuring the art of James Groman and Nathan Jurevicius with an opening reception on Saturday (5.16). Well-known for his prehistoric dino beasts, Groman will offer a few Rotten Rex one-offs, Rotten Rex 2D artwork, and a preview of all five of his fantastic B.C. Blasters mini-series—mixing dinos and guns—in the works from TAG. Influenced and inspired by tales of the past including Lithuanian paganism and Christian bible stories as well as sci-films, Nathan Jurevicius will be showing a dozen new pencil sketches and 3 new risograph prints. On the 3D side, Toy Art Gallery will debut Nathan’s fanciful Owl Clam sofubi in what we believe will be an unpainted pink edition.
