Coarse’s Mark Landwehr and Sven Waschk (above) opened their ‘Voyages’ exhibition at Diesel Art Gallery in the Shibuya district of Tokyo. this past Friday (11.21). Their first Japanese exhibition showcases sculptures, vinyl toys and photographs from three story arcs – Voyages, Noop World and Souls Gone Mad. Seen in the gallery’s installation photos by Kenji Takahasi, the show is an excellent introduction to the Coarse’s aesthetic covering both the beginnings with Noop and Paw! right up to the Omens and the Passage.
To celebrate the opening, Diesel Art released their exclusive Shibuya Omen. At this point, it appears that the pink on pink edition is only available in Japan. However, Coarse has mentioned that they are working to see if they can make them available to collectors outside of Japan as well.
