Dave Dick, the very dude who sculpted Oscar Mar’s Lethal Taco is excited to announce his first resin figure, Satori Kappa. The Satori Kappa was designed and sculpted by Dave and will be cast by the folks over at Pretty in Plastic. The first run will be limited to 40 pieces and will be signed and numbered. Dave is also holding a contest where one of his followers on Instagram (@davealert) will get a Satori figure free! All you have to do is follow him on IG and on the release date he will choose one lucky follower and announce the winner there. Please stay tuned for official release information.
The Kappa is one of Japan’s yokai and are said to inhabit the country’s rivers and streams.
Legendary trouble makers, Kappa are responsible for everything from general harassment to drowning people and animals, kidnapping children, and the ravishing of women. Now, not all Kappa are mischievous, murdering, kidnappers. Throughout history there have been some who have befriended human beings, helping and even teaching them.
"Satori Kappa" directly translated from Japanese means ‘Enlightened Kappa’.
