Buff Monster – Toy Machine Online Release (2.21)

resinhead4 cheaptoy4

Back in November Buff Monster unveiled his Toy Machine at an artist multiples group show in NYC -- a double-headed vending machine dispensing both his Ice Cream resin heads and his ‘Cheap Toys’, an homage to the Garbage Pail Kids’ Cheap Toys.  If you didn’t have an opportunity to buy these toys directly from the machine, now’s your chance to do so – just virtually.   On Friday (2.21) @ 10 AM EST  Buff Monster will be offering a choice of an Ice Cream resin toy, one of his Melty Misfits Cheap Toys or one of the shiny nickel plated Buff Monster machine tokens for $20 each (+ s/h) from Buffmonster.com.

Just as if you had plunked a token into the machine, the toy you get will be a surprise.  There’s a crazy amount of variety on offer.  On the Ice Cream Head side there are four main sculpts (Original, Zombie, Devil and Skull) plus chase variations (Split Devil/Zombie and two different Double Zombies).  For the Melty Misfits Cheap Toys there are three different figures – Double Heather, Graffiti Petey and Alice Island.  Roughly 1 in 2 was hand painted by Buff Monster.  Both the Ice Cream Heads and the Cheap Toys were cast in a variety of resin colors – some opaque and some clear.  Since Buff’s a nice guy, if you order multiple toys he’ll make sure not to give you duplicates.
