Greg ‘Craola’ Simkins has teamed up with C4toons to bring his vivid, pop surrealistic paintings to life with the in-development ‘I’m Scared’ stop-motion short film project. The film expands on Simkins’ ‘I’m Scared’ broad narrative by focusing on two brothers, the monstrous tales told by the old brother and the monsters both encounter in the dreamscape. With the character development and script completed, Craola and C4toon have started a Kickstarter Campaign to raise the $65k needed to complete the film and release it in the special MööK form they envision. The MööK will take the collector behind the scenes with copies of the script, key art pieces (studies and final images) detailing each step of the production, and of course a DVD of the movie.
Craola and his team have gotten creative with a reward list bursting with goodies including a specially priced MööK pre-order ($45), MööK + Tee ($80), MööK + unique polaroid of the movie set, ‘Zombie Nation’ rock poster created for the movie ($100), giclee of movie Character ‘Raif’, MööK and stickers ($222), plus higher tiers featuring original sketches, and at the highest levels – original paintings.
