It’s been a little over three years since we revealed the sculpt (Proto Monday) of the first incarnation of Scott Tolleson’s Bitta Critta figure. Feeling that the character was close but not quite spot on, Scott juggled a redesign of his dino-suit wearing toddler along with several other projects including his Nosellots plush line and Deadbeet sofubi project.
Happily, the long wait is almost over. Shown above is a shot of the new Bitta Critta Vinyl OG edition. As you can see, the new Bitta is just a bit (ok, quite a bit) cuter with a smaller horn and an expression more innocent than intimidating. Previewed at his recent group show, the new sculpt looks fantastic — adorable. Plus, the subtle paint job looks less production and more towards hand-painted original. The OG Bitta Critta drops at this year’s SDCC. Three additional colorways will follow after the debut release.
