On Saturday afternoon, BAIT hosted a Street Fighter event featuring an art exhibition, mini tourney which was streamed live with onsite commentary, and a personal appearance by series producer Ono-san. The event drew steady crowds throughout the day – some looking to challenge local SF pros.  Located in the upper gallery, the art show features original drawings, paintings and at least one plush of the legendary fighting game’s characters.

Towards the evening, Ono-San revealed two additional paintings by none other than Ron English – both portraits of Ryu,  done in a pop treatment filled with polka dots.   It’s been rumored that a larger, touring Street Fighter art show is in the works. The man behind the games also signed comics for fans.

A trio of artists – Jerome Lu, Kwestone, and Kidokyo created original art for BAIT’s new Street Fighter apparel collection.  Jerome’s fun, playful piece features most of the original SF II fighters and is available both as an art print and a Tee.   The full collection is available for purchase at the  Diamond Bar flagship store and from BAIT’s web shop.
