Dope Vinyl Kickstarter Campaign
We’ve seen documentaries on the process of making toys, the artists behind the production figures, and the gatherings and conventions we all attend. Why not the behind the scenes of what goes on with the artist who create some of our favorite custom figures? Well thanks to Dope Vinyl everyone will have a chance to get a peak into the artist studios and see what the customizing game is all about. To get this show on the road, they need your help! They’ve began a Kickstarter campaign to help raise money towards the production of this film. To help bring pledges in, they’ve asked numerous artists in the toy scene to donate a number of customs, one offs, prints, limited edition toys, etc.. for the cause. They plan on hitting their goal of $13,660 in the next 20 days and they need your help to make that happen! Check out the campaign HERE and send in some pledges! They are constantly updating the pledges as the end of the campaign draws near. Some awesome treats could come up, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled!

Butcher Brand – Megara Pre-Order
Butch Adams will soon release the debut unpainted editions of his Megara sofubi (show above in a test color). According to the back story, Megara’s shell features the mask of his creator and previous master whom he battled when accused of being disloyal. The mask enhances the turtle beast’s already formidable powers.
Butcher Brand is accepting pre-orders for both unpainted glow-in-the-dark, and unpainted black editions of the 3.5” figure for $35 each. To celebrate the release of his first vinyl figure, Butch is working on original art to be randomly inserted into the pre-orders (see examples after the jump) and will also mix in hand-painted one-of-a-kind chases. If you want in, do it now, the pre-release will end shortly.
