Rotofugi Gallery: Dan Grzeca and Adam DeVarney (1.12)

To start off 2013, Rotofugi will feature solos from two local Chicago artists with a joint opening this Friday (1.12).  Known for giving visual form to others’ musical expression, Dan Grzeca will showcase his artful screen printing aesthetic with ‘Little Creatures’.  Offering a nice visual and conceptual contrast, Adam DeVarney’s  ‘Until You Were Gone’ showcase his street-art inspired collage style works  blending illustration, hand-colored paper, and found imagery.   Both artists will be at the opening.

Reactor-88 Spade-Skull Resin Magnets

So after a few delays, Reactor-88 has released his Spade-Skull Resin Magnets in six separate color variations (10 pcs each).  Based on his official logo, each piece was hand-cast in resin, hand-painted and clear coated.  At 5 cm x 3m x 1.5 cm they’re ideal for replacing those forgettable magnets you currently have on your refrigerator (well at least in my case..).   Signed and numbered on the back, each magnet is available individually for $10 and the entire set of six is available for $55 (+ s/h) from his online shop.    While they all look great, the red + black ones are particularly eye-catching.
