In conjunction with Shag’s ‘Goin’ Places’ solo at their gallery, Rotofugi (along with Squibbles Ink) has produced the artist’s new Skull Boy figure. Featuring a racer sculpted by Shinbone Creative and a car sculpted by Joe Somers of Squibbles Ink, Skull Boy is the second figure in the Shag Racers series and follows the first toy from ‘10 – The Shriner.
The first Gallery Prototype Edition (100 pcs) of the Skull Boy was first made available (pre-order) at Friday’s opening of Shag’s show and remaining pieces will be available on Monday via rotofugi.com for $90 with a shipping window of late Jan/early Feb. Look for follow-on editions including the Standard edition in the near future. Additionally, the long-awaited standard edition of The Shriner are around the corner as well. While we liked the Shriner, Skull Boy ventures a bit more into the fantastic, and that suits us well.
