Dave Pressler, co-creator of Nickelodeon’s ‘Robot and Monster’ cartoon, will showcase his love and talent for creating Robots with ‘100 Robots’ opening on Friday (12.7) @ Gallery 1988’s second Melrose location (across from the OG gallery). The new exhibition will feature 100 original 8 x 10” pen+ink drawings as well as the giant ‘Revenge Bot’ sculpture – the largest Dave’s made so far. Reminiscent of his earlier but much smaller Gas Powered Dragon resins, the new Revenge Bot was created in sculpting foam which was then coated with a resin normally used for surf-boards. If you love robots, drop by Friday’s opening to enjoy Dave’s take on the mechanical wonders. 100 Robot will be on display for two consecutive weekends (Dec 8-9 and 15-16).
