Here’s a last minute preview of Kelly Denato’s ‘Fall into Frost‘ and Julie West’s ‘The Dandy‘ which opened tonight, Friday (6 to 9 PM) at myplasticheartnyc. Kelly’s new collection features explorations of her mystical forest where the distinction between plants and living creatures is blurred. Her pieces include acrylic on panel paintings in two distinct palettes (one vibrant with pinks, greens and blues and another more muted with monochromatic qualities) as well as several drawings on paper. Julie’s new work features character portraits in her signature style created with a mix of acrylic, gouache and ink.
