Brian Flynn -- ‘This Temporary Moment’ (10.5)
Brian Flynn (Super7 / Hybrid Design) will showcase his signature art, inspired by 60’s era modern illustration and Japanese toy design, for his ‘This Temporary Moment’ solo opening on Friday (10.5) at Toy Art Gallery. For his debut show at TAG, Brian will offer custom-painted vinyl figures, hand-painted resins including his new Skullwalkers, large-format fiberglass including what appears to be a towering Doku Duo, and silk-screened editions. As the show title suggests, Brian’s art focuses on the power of memory to forge personal, shared links from slices of time and experience. In addition to his personal work, the show will also feature a Super7 retrospective. If you’re in the SoCal area, definitely plan on coming out to meet the man who’s had a lasting impact on both the toy scene and the competitive world of design.
