Double Line (Alan Ng) just might be one of the boldest and stylish art toy creators in the game. His figures have an unmistakable, palpable energy and bold, imaginative style. The results vary from amazing to a tad quirky, but never, ever cookie cutter. Keikotrooper, the latest iteration of his ever-popular and ever-morphing fetching female, is the latest creation to squirt out of his brain and emerge from his talented hands. In this case, it’s not so much the idea, as the realization of the concept that has us excited. It’s turn-around, double-take, mouth-agape worthy. There’s the crazy, oversized bear-trooper helmet, the mega-sized ‘K’ gauntlets and the perfectly asymmetrical boots – and that’s just the front view.
