The wicked genius that is Skinner will open (deep breath) ‘The Undermining Satanic Energies of an Incongruent Suburban Sickness’ on the very appropriate date of Friday the 13th (4.13) @ The Cotton Candy Machine in Brooklyn.  The show will feature 24 small paintings (under $800) and eight masks ($300 each) as well as an installation and a screening of a collaborative short film done with Marcella Ernest and Walter Parenton.  Satanic Energies marks a key transition for the artist into larger-scale work that is ‘epic and transformative’.  So if you’re looking to purchase a small OG Skinner painting at a very affordable price, this may very well be your last chance.   Also look for art prints, apparel and the new book at the opening.
