House Industries x Medicom – Anniversary Logos

001-1972
To celebrate it’s 15th Anniversary and the 10th Anniversary of their iconic Be@rbrick figure line, Medicom tapped House Industries, an esteemed American type foundry, to design the logos for both milestones.  As is their practice, designers Andy Cruz and Ken Barber started and refined the designs on paper.  The final 10th anniversary design graced a special 10th anniversary Be@rbrick released during the Be@rbrick worldwide tour #2 held in Japan in December.  House Industries also printed 120 tenth anniversary 20” x 26” prints (60 black / 60 white) with 20 bound for Japan. The remaining 100 pieces are available now via their web shop for $100/print.

Rounding out their collaboration with the Japanese toy giant, Adam and Angelo Cruz hand-customized a 400% Be@rbrick with a combination of hand-rubbed copper metallic lacquer and hand-striped one-shot enamel for the chest logo.  The complete project  is an excellent collaboration combining the very best of Japanese and American design talent.
