Looking to follow their imaginative and inspiring  Bed Monster figure, Amanda Visell and Itokin Park have really outdone themselves with their upcoming ‘Trojan Horse’ (8”) resin set. What lurks in this rolling surprise?  A squad of five Trojan warriors in the covert barracks at the rear of the horse and… eight cannons along each side of the tricky beast hidden behind individual hidden doors (it’s up to the collector to install the cannon (with or without explosion) once the door is open).    And… as if that’s not enough battle action for you, the Trojan Horse comes with an awesome chariot and rider featuring a very-familiar Amanda-style mount.

In the gallery after the jump, you’ll see some of the process involved in creating the Trojan Horse, including a massive collection of molds.  As you can imagine, Kazu’s put a ton of work into sculpting, molding, and casting this collaborative design.  How much work?  Let’s just say the Trojan Horse features  nearly 50 separate pieces!

This is a must for both artists’ collectors.  It’s more than a hand-made art toy, it’s an inventive art toy playset. We’re looking forward to seeing painted versions of the Trojan Horse

So now you’re wondering when ?  Saturday July 30th @ 3PM @ Switcheroo in Pasadena.  If you’re amazed by Kazu’s talent and want to learn from him,  why not sign up for his Workshop of the Handmade Oven Clay’ ?  It’s just after the Trojan Horse release, July 30th from 4 to 9 PM.  Reserve your spot now ($200).
