Tomorrow night is the opening night of Crazy 4 Cult: Customs Edition at G1988 in San Francisco. Here we have the Rebel Fett by Adrian Pina, which was customized out of Usugrow’s Rebel Ink figure from Secret-Base and pays homage to Star Wars Boba Fett character. This is just one of the amazing customs that will be seen at tomorrows event. Be there or be square!

Slicer TK Baka, the newest 1:6 Tomorrow Kings figure from Ashley Wood and ThreeA is set to drop in this regular ediont on Thursday, September 9th @ 5:59 PM PDT for $120.  The ‘Slicer’ title refers to his weapons of choice – electrified swords that slice through ‘bots like a hot knife through butta.  And if that isn’t enough, he appears to rely on ‘nades as backup. There’s also an exclusive 3AA edition which comes with a special severed bot head and will go for $150 [offering details via Gimbat’s daily news updates].

Brent Nolasco for Crazy 4 Cult: Customs (9.4)

Gallery 1988 SF Crazy Cult Show Brent Nolasco 002

Since his recent decision to move away from doing vinyl toy customs,  he submitted his first hand-carved wood piece for Crazy 4 Cult: Customs show opening on Saturday September 4th, 2010 @ Gallery 1988 SF. Inspired by the Tim Burton’s classic ‘Nightmare before Christmas, Brent chose to create Barrow, a sidekick,  completely out of wood.  Even though this is his first-ever wood piece, he took the detailed, time consuming route by creating 13 individual pieces (head, face, arms, legs, etc.) – each of which can be posed to the owner’s preferences. The detail on the head including the facial elements is impressive.   In case you’re wondering, the mini Pumpkins are customized action figure accessories.

Props to Brent for pushing his sculptural work to new mediums.  We’re very curious to see what’s next.
