Toy Art Gallery Presents: Red Carpet Kaiju (09.04)
In the last month or so, we’ve been posting up some pretty amazing Kaiju customs for the upcoming Red Carpet Kaiju Show at Toy Art Gallery on Saturday, September 4th. This show will feature custom figures by:
Akoart, Alimana, Blobpus, Plaseebo, Carlos Enriquez Gonzalez, Emilio Garcia, Lil Japan, Ilanena, L’amour Supreme, LASH, Mark Nagata, Matt Walker, Paul Kaiju, Pico Pico, Toshikazu Nozaka, Tulip, Uamou, Velocitron, Yamazakura and more.
They will also be debuting the upcoming collaboration Alien Argus figure with Mark Nagata and the Hierophany with Carlos Enriquez Gonzalez from their TAGTOY line. At the event will also be Blobpus’ newest creation, Beroron, a collaboration with Akoart, and an exclusive release of Emilio Garcia’s Jumping Brain figure.
Opening reception takes place this Saturday at 7-11PM with participating artists in attendance. For those of you not close enough to make the opening, they will have a live video stream going on. Take a look at more of the pieces after the jump.

Nathan Ota – Midnight Crooner
First seen at SDCC about a month ago, Nathan Ota’s oh-so-nice Midnight Crooner limited-edition figure from Double Super (a collab between STRANGEco and Three Zero) is now available for pre-order for $124.99 over at STRANGEco.com with an anticipated October drop. This 8” piece is an excellent translation of Nathan’s original artwork and features thoughtful details throughout including a lite-up mic.
If you’re in LA don’t miss Nathan’s special signing and live-painting session with RISK @ Montana Paints LA shop on Thursday (9.2) from 7-9 PMas well as the opening of his new solo, an Unforseen Homecoming, @ La Luz De Jesus this Friday.
Vinyl Toy Cameo in Machete ?
Robert Rodriguez’s Machete hits theatres this Friday with a star-studded cast featuring Danny Trejo as Machete. In addition to the grindhouse and cult appeal, we’re hearing that there just might be a quick designer toy cameo in the flick. If you spot it, fill us in.
Munky King Presents: Kozyndan Signing & Uprisings Release (09.18)
On Saturday, September 18th Munky King will have special guests Kozyndan in the shop signing for their latest release, Uprisings. This vinyl pieces makes perfect for a bookend or even just as a stand alone sculpture. This is Kozyndan’s take on the classic Japanese Print, “The Great Wave Off Kanagawa” by Hokusai. Available will be the Metallic Blue (400 Pcs) and the Glow in the Dark (75 Pcs). This signing event takes place from 2-4PM.

New Goodies From WeKillYou (09.03)
