For her second self-produced vinyl toy under her Switcheroo label, Amanda Visell took her super-limited handcrafted What-Did-I-Eat-Ephunt wood figure and upped the play factor with swappable stomach contents plug-ins. Four species of the voracious Ephunt have been spotted in the wild – each with a mini ‘phunt and three ‘food’ plug-ins : Big City (500 pcs, $70, Natural Habitat (200 pieces), Jamboree(???, ???), the Switcheroo Exclusive Warrior (100 pcs, $80). Putting eating front and center, the swappable food concept gives each edition its own personality while putting the fun back into art toys.
The vinyl What-Did-I-Eat-Ephunt will be released at the Switcheroo Workshop on Saturday August 14th (7-11 PM). It sounds like Amanda has a few surprises up her sleeve including special resin stomach contents plugins which will will be available simultaneously at the opening and online.
