A few days ago we posted about Mr. Clement’s return to handmade pieces. At the time all we had was a teaser image. Now comes full info and photos of his large Lapin sculpture — “When I look at the Sky, I can See your Smile”. Limited to 50 pieces, the handmade sculpture featuring a bird companion stands nearly 16 inches tall and tips the scale at slightly over 4.5 pounds.
Beyond the larger size, the draw of this new sculpture is that each one is handmade by Mr. Clement himself. The sculpture also comes with a small original painting (5” x 4”). Pre-orders are being accepted now (£200, ~ $303). Mr. Clement expects to ship the pieces in Mid-August. Finally, the little all too familiar museum style warnings on the base are great – no touching, no photography!
