Brent Nolasco -- ‘A Fond Farewell’ Fusion Sculpt
Brent Nolasco’s ‘A Fond Farewell’ is just that … his last ‘fusion sculpt’ featuring custom toys. From this point on his 3D art work will be an extension of his original 2D art work featuring both his resins and original sculptures.
For ‘A Fond Fairwell’, Brent mixes a large number of popular toys (Upper Playground, Teddy Trooper, Nade, Coop 1, Craola, Sam Flores, JLed, Star Wars) and found objects resulting in a chaotic yet coherent fantasy steed design. This impressive piece will be shown at SDCC in the Dragatomi booth. Brent will also offer new resin customs at the Cardboard Spaceship booth.

Ferg – Midnight Spike and Spot SQUADT K11 (7.12)
Ferg will release the first edition of his SQUADT K11 figures (4”) – Midnight Spike and Spot, on Monday July 12th @ Noon CDT (10 AM PDT) from the Squadt store for $75 (includes global shipping). These Squadt companions look great in all black. The detailed gear (pouches, caps) and removable ‘masks’ show their SQUADT lineage and make these really tempting – a great mix of cute and badass. Limited to 200 pieces, this set follows the tradition of Midnight Jack with 50 chase GID lenses.
K11 is off to a very nice start. We’re looking forward to additional editions (including the retail versions) as well as the debut of the other characters/sculpts.

Seen: Buff Monster Custom Show @ GR2
The Buff Monster Custom Show opened on Saturday at Giant Robot 2. While some artists interpreted the original shape of the Buff Monster figures, others created a full figure with the BM figure as the head including Huck Gee’s 1:6 style wheat paster figure. The nicely curated group of artists offered a large variety of strong pieces. In addition to the customs, Giant Robot offered a show poster featuring the show pieces. If you missed it definitely drop by GR2 and check it out.

Sights from TTF – Banana Virus / Kuso Vinyl
Banana Virus sent us photos of his TTF booth (7.8 – 7.11) which he shared with Kuso Vinyl and by the looks of it, Instinct Toy as well. Banana Virus featured several customs of his signature figures as well as his custom limited-edition Munnys with a wild, feral look complete with sculpted claws. Kuso Vinyl’s portion of the booth featured both Nakanari’s Ninja Spiki Noruto and Rotobox’s new Farenheit OG.
