Japanese toymaker Monstock continues to show its independence and creativity by releasing a continually varied set of vinyl figures which put inspiration above mainstream appeal and trends. Their next release, Tochukaso Yggdradon, highlights this spirit. Tochukaso translates literally as ‘ Winter Insect Summer Plant’ and refers to a class of parasitic fungal plants that grow in a insect host. As you can see, this new creation features intricate sculptwork from the mushroom right down to the insect itself.
Tochukaso Yggdradon will be available shortly in two species – normal (13800 yen) and mini (4800 yen). Based on one of the proto pictures with a ruler , the larger figure appears to be 8” long and 7” high.
