Seen: Tokidoki Melrose Store VIP Party

 

Tokidoki, one of the hottest pop culture designer apparel and toy brands, threw an impressive VIP bash on Thursday to celebrate the opening of it's second US store on trendy Melrose. Located directly across from Paul Frank and Kidrobot, the new store  stocks a wide variety of tokidoki products from apparel to toys to luggage and everything in between.  It is as you might expect a one stop shop for all things tokidoki including the new Mini Karl vinyl toy collaboration between tokidoki designer Simone Legno and fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld. 

After a few minutes in the new store, we made our way out the back door to the party under a massive heated tent complete with two bars, and plenty of multimedia magic.  Swirling, alternating colored lights and tokidoki animations set the tone for the evening.  Mix in artists, industry insiders,  beverages, tasty hors d'œuvres, posh digs and you have all the ingredients for a great opening.  tokidoki turned things up a notch with a photo booth, xbox 360 demo station, and a Yogurtland station.  tokidoki has been running a campaign with the popular frozen treat destination featuring custom tokidoki spoons and signage.  Mixing this element into the party was a fun twist.  Hit the jump for plenty of pics of the store and the  celebration .  The next time you find yourself on Melrose, be sure to check out the tokidoki store.
