Emilio Garcia – fMRI Jumping Brain

4224244297_87f4f0f510
Emilio Garcia’s Jumping Brain has been in the news lately.  His creation is making the jump from resin to vinyl in 2010 with the upcoming release of the 2” Jumping Brain minis from Toy2R.  The resin edition is still kickin’ and how.  Emilio recently posted sneak pics of his new fMRI Jumping Brain with a wild paint job that is patterned after Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging – a brain imaging technique that captures dynamic brain function rather than a static picture.  The end result is an eye-shocking piece.  Nice. Here’s hoping this is a new limited-edition run.

Ashley Wood x 3A- Popbot Teaser

popgun1

It seems like there’s no end to the awesomeness that springs forth from Ashley Wood’s mind.  As if the upcoming Dropcloth ‘bots weren’t enough, here’s the first official teaser for his new Popbot figure in the works from 3A.   Dig the stylized firearm and the articulation on the hand looks to be excellent.  Thanks to shots taken of the resin proto at this fall’s HK Venture show we have a good idea of what the full figure will look like (below) [Via ThreeA Production blog and Gimbat’s 3A News Summary].

Ashley Wood x 3A – Previews: Medic + Slim Red Dropcloths

The amazin’ ‘bots keep on coming.  Ashley Wood has posted previews of two of the new upcoming WWR Dropcloth figures from ThreeA – Medic (above) + Slim Red (after the jump).  Love the pose in the shot above.  The dual fisted action + the rustic make think six-shooting gunfighter.  Both of these Dropcloth’s look great – the posability is outstanding, the most dynamic of any WWR figure to date.
