Mike Burnett – Average Joe Schmoe DIY Wood Figures

Mike Burnett has been creating custom and very limited edition awesome designer toys in wood for quite some time now.  By working with Bigshot Toyworks, Mike’s making the magic of his wood toys accessible to a wider audience in the form of production DIY figures.

First there was Neighborwood, and now there’s the excellent Average Joe Schmoe DIY figure.  Just released by Bigshot, Average Joe Schmoe features the intersecting 2.5D design seen in many of Mike’s hand-done figures.  And it gets better – they stack.  Joe is available in both 5” and 10” sizes.  To see what some amazing artists have done with this new platform, check out photos from the  Natural Resources touring art show.
