Bic Buddy is going big time. Bic Plastics will soon unleash an 8″ version of Marka27’s urban platform figure — a big brother to the blind-box minis released this summer. Here’s the very first look at the brand-new larger Bic Buddy, roaming the streets of Brooklyn as captured by Photographer Moses Mitchell. To kick off the introduction of the 8” DIY Bic Buddy, Bic Plastics will tap top-flight artists to show off their skills with two custom shows in February ‘10 – one in LA and one in NYC, with a roster of 30+ artists for each event.
With the introduction of this new larger size, Bic Buddy steps up from mini-fig to full-fledged designer toy platform. The 8” sculpt looks strong – digging the heavy-duty wings, the thickness works well. Keep watching Vinyl Pulse for more on the 8” Bic Buddy.
