DCon 2009: Strangekiss Booth
The Strangekiss booth at DCon attracted many attendees with their huge sale. They went bigger and better this year with the booth space that they acquired. All it was, was a huge banner with their name on it and piles on top of piles of discounted toys. You cannot go wrong with that!

Naughty & Nice Dunny Gift Set By Reactor-88
Reactor-88, known for his Totem-inspired custom toys, brings us something a little different for the holiday season. He's utilized the Tofu Head 3-inch Dunny from Kidrobot's 2009 Dunny Series for this fun set of gift box-based customs. Each Gift Dunny has a metallic paint job (the green really shows it) and is finished off with real, metallic ribbon. He even hand-tied the small gift bows on the tops of the heads. As an added detail, he created small "Naughty" and "Nice" tags for each gift custom. Reactor-88 will only be offering these special holiday customs as a set (one red/one green)- priced at $60 plus shipping. Rumor has it these will be up in his webstore this Wednesday. With only seven sets available, there's a good chance these will be gone just as fast as this holiday season is.
Most Wanted: Messageboard Artist Series
Most Wanted is a unique and ambitious project – a blind-boxed Dunny series with a twist. The figures were designed and hand-done by noted customizers chosen from the Kidrobot Message board. Think about that, a blind-boxed series done completely by hand.
Organized by mANNEe, timselF and Igor Ventura the home-spun DIY series features designs by AW177, DEL730, DFed, Draifet, FAS, Flying Fortress, Gawein, Grimsheep, Igor Ventura, Luihz Unreal, Lysol, Mike Die, Nikejerk, RSIN ,Sergio Mancini, timselF, Wuz One
Most Wanted has been sold out for a spell via pre-order. As the ship date approaches collectors are anxious to check out the real McCoys. Many people are curious if the final hand-done figures could live up to the high-standards set with the strong vector-art shown on the series poster and insert handouts. After seeing some of the finished pieces at DesignerCon (above), the answer is a resounding yes.
Vinyl Pulse recently had the pleasure of checking out two never-before-seen MW Dunnys courtesy of mANEEe: the Sergio Mancini variant and the Grimsheep chase. Check ‘em after the jump.

Shin Tanaka – Nobler Sensitivity T-Boy
One Up has just dropped the newest edition of their T-Boy figure from Japanese artist Shin Tanaka. T-Boy Nobler Sensitivity brings an ecclectic yellow and purple color scheme. Get it now for 6930 yen (~ $80). Those of us in LA are partial to those colors even though it’s just a happy coincidence – purple and yellow represent “art sense” in the world of color therapy.
