Huck Gee for Three Apples – Hanami Afternoon
For Sanrio’s Three Apples show celebrating the 35th Anniversary of Hello Kitty, Huck Gee created the lovely Hanami Afternoon. This one-of-a-kind custom vinyl figure features a hand-crafted kimono and umbrella giving Hello Kitty a stylish touch of Huck’s contemporary take on Feudal Japan. Careful examination of the print on the Kimono and Umbrella reveals the ying yang essence of life and death.
Three Apples opens this Friday, October 23rd @ Royal/T in Culver City, CA. Featuring an art exhibition curated by Jamie Rivadeneira as well as a celebration of all things Hello Kitty, this high-profile show has something for almost everybody.
