Robert De Castro – Panzer Ace

Robert De Castro is readying Panzer Ace the second super heroic robot from his Atomic Mushroom brand.  This one is the larger, heavy duty follow-up to  his first ‘bot, Combat-R Zero.  As you can see in these shots of the resin casts that will be used to make rotocast molds, Panzer Ace shares many of the styling cues from the previous figure but is considerably larger (8”+).  While this heavier model is not capable of sustained flight, he does have jump capability thanks to his removable jump pack.  The first edition is slated for an early 2010 drop  and will be limited to 250 pieces. 

Creating a line of self-financed independent vinyl figures is not easy by any means.  Props to Robert for making it work and doing it with stylish designs. We’ll keep you updated on the development.  Next up: the painted design.
