David Weeks x Kidrobot – Chiseler
Seems as though Kidrobot has a few wooden projects under their sleeves. First with the sneak peek given HERE and now this limited edition collaborative piece with David Weeks. Created from zebra-striped hard pine, this uber limited (5 pcs) and super exclusive Chiseler figure dawns a resemblance to a certain bunny eared platform figure we all know and love. What makes each of these unique is that not one are a like and they also come in a custom wooden crate with a laser etched image on the front for your displaying pleasure.

Super7 Yellow Stomp (09.19)
Having been missing in action for almost a year, Super7’s Stomp figure has come back to life. Casted in a clear yellow vinyl with red, black, gold and green spray. This creation of Dr. Killgore will be released on Saturday, Sepetember 19th at both the Super7 store as well as online.

Wow, Ashley Wood and ThreeA are on a roll. They’ve announced several high-profile collaborations with top-flight creators including Kenny Wong, Coarse Toys, and Hideo Kojima. Now comes news of a Spawn x ThreeA project. No details, just a nice understated logo teaser.
FERG – Midnight Jack Squadt (9.14)
As you all know we love FERG’s Squadts. But this new Midnight Jack Squadt looks to be one of the best yet. With an all-black Special OPs vibe, this one is limited to 200 pieces (50 have gid eyes). Oooh, 1:4 chase. Check out the knit cap and the backpack. Wonder what kinda heat he’s packing… It drops on September 14th @ Midnight CDT.

Kidrobot’s Death to False Vinyl Rally (9.4)
In what is no doubt a response to Taco Bell’s Bell Hedz, which bear a disturbing similarity to their Dunny platform toy, Kidrobot is throwing a Death to False Vinyl rally tomorrow, September 4th in NYC on the corner of Houston and Lafayette from 11:30 to 1:30. The ‘bots will be giving away 1000 free Dunnys. A good day to be a New Yorker.
What’s being left unsaid in Kidrobot’s announcement with karmic flier image is that this has the makings of a toy showdown of sorts. The Taco Bell truck is scheduled to be at the very same corner at the same time giving away free food and of course Bell Hedz. Hopefully people will clearly see the real deal vs. the imitator when they are literally side by side. It’s a clever way of making lemonade from lemons. The real winners – lucky folks who live in NYC.
