SDCC 09 – Super7 Exclusive Teaser
The Super7 booth (#4729) will be bringing tons of heat with them to this years SDCC. From the teaser we can see that we will get some Visighost, Mummyboy, Mongolion, Gorilla Biscuits, Le Merde, Bwana, Ooze Bat, i scream, Big Sal, and something new to us. Hopefully S7 spills the beans real soon!
SDCC 09 – Le Merde Bangal Ring
This is just one sneak peek of what Le Merde will be bringing to SDCC this year. Stay tuned for the rest of the goodies! Hopefully we get to see some new resin figures, customs, and what have you.
Bard Hole Standal -- The Birth of Deinos (7.15)
Hi all, this is a first for Vinyl Pulse -- our first post written from China (just a short visit). On to the news... Norwegian artist Bard Hole Standal will release the first five pieces of his original Deinos resin figure at his solo show, appropriately titled 'The Birth of Deinos' (flier) on July 15th 2009 @ Ouchi Gallery in Brooklyn. Bard has been steadily working on Deinos since spring of this year -- starting with a 3D model and moving on to a rapid proto printed in LA and then to the labor-intensive process of casting, cleaning up and painting the figures.
Deinos stands 5" tall, has an articulated head, and currently takes form in five colorways: black, red, purple, orange, and yellow. The Bard plans to make five of each colorway, but due to the time involved, he may end up making fewer of each.

SDCC 09 – Buff Monster Signing & Exclusive Miao & Mousubi
Buff Monster will be at SDCC signing at the DKE booth (#4732) for his exclusive GID colorway of Zakkamono’s Miao and Mousubi figure. This piece is limited to only 100 pieces and only available at the con. Buff Monster is scheduled to sign on Friday, July 24th beginning at 2PM.
SDCC 09 – David Pressler’s ACM Customs
Spied on Dave Pressler’s Blog is a peak of him working on a batch of Angry Clobber Monkey customs for this years SDCC. He gives us a teaser of the “So Very Dark” versions, as you can plainly see it appears black and white in normal light. After shining some UV lights on these bad boys, the special UV paints start to appear. Each custom will be unique and we cannot wait to see the rest of these customs in person.

Incoming: adFunture x Remix – Mini G-Robot
Eddi of adFunture shared with everyone the Mini G-Robot they’ve got going on with the Streetwear Label Remix. Most, if not all of the figures from the Mini-Robot series will be revealed that this years TTF at booth B40 and B41.
Super7 x L’Amour Supreme’s Mongolion The Ever-Living (07.11)
L’Amour’s second release of his Mongolion has reincarnated itself into a tribute version of Lion-O’s nemesis, Mumm-Ra. Mongolion, The Ever-Living will be available this Saturday, July 11th at 11AM PST at Super7. This figure is cast in light blue vinyl with red, maroon, tan, black, and silver sprays for $60 a piece.
SDCC 09 – Luke Chueh
Paul Aka mfmunny gave everyone a little tease of what we can expect from Luke chueh at this years SDCC. He shared with us a picture of the possible figure, as well as a packing teaser. From the looks of it, seems to be a decapitated bunny head. We will have to wait a bit longer for more news on this release, THANKS PAUL!
SDCC 09 – David Choe’s Wombat
David Choe’s Choegal was a hit and now he has a little something planned for this years San Diego Comic Con. Available at the Giant Robot booth will be David Choe’s Wombat. Similar to the Choegal, Wombat features 3 interchangeable faces. Wombat is limited to only 200 pieces and will be available for $60 a piece. He will also be signing for the event, artist schedule is yet to be determined.
Super7 Fireworks Ooze-Bat Now Available!
In celebration of yesterdays festivities, Super7 just released the Fireworks Ooze-Bat. From the Snakes of Infinity series, this Ooze-Bat drips with GID vinyl and sprayed with red, light blue, pink, and dark blue sprays. Fireworks Ooze-Bat stands 5” tall and is now available for $50 here and at Super7 in San Francisco.
