Seen: Subcarism @ Stitch

[Stitch hosted the opening of Subcarism – an impressive Kaiju custom show this past Friday (5.29). Our man in Japan, Luke Rook, was on-hand to take in the sights, smell the vinyl and share his thoughts with all of you, our loyal readers.]
Stitch's Subcarism was really a who's who in toys. I'm not sure if there was a theme set ahead of time but it sure seems that everyone now is taking a page from Le Merde recent show. His mix and match style has definitely made an impact on Japan. Something I'm sure the toy world is quite happy for. Cute and insightful. Light hearted and hip. It was nice to see makers from all over mix it up in this tiny little space. One of the highlights was the new sculpt unveiling from Mographixx (Word on the street is that Stitch and intheyellow will team up again for something even bigger. Can't wait.
