Babe Bunyan by Portland artist Scrappers is the first toy from Grasshut. Scrappers has painted Babe Bunyan for several years now on whatever surface he could get his hands on. A mixing of two mythological figures, Paul Bunyan + Babe the Blue Ox, the character is a tribute to the Pacific Northwest – the land of the lumberjack. Keeping things local, Babe Bunyan was cast in plastic by PDX-based toy maker ARNE.
To celebrate the impending release of Babe Bunyan, Grass Hut will release several hand-painted customs including pieces from Bwana Spoons, Martin Ontiveros, and Le Merde himself this Friday, June 19th through the Grasshut online store.
