As part of the celebration leading up to the release of the new Star Trek movie which opens on May 8th 2009, Paramount has created the Enterprise Project and asked cutting-edge artists to create interpretations of the iconic starship.
Project artists including Amanda Visell (above), House Industries, Jim Lee, Mr. Brainwash, Ragnar, Robert Rodriguez, and others started with a 34” Quantum Mechanix replica cast directly from the Industrial Light and Magic digital models used in the movie’s production. The customized Enterprises will travel around the country to various landmark movie theatres. Check out the project site for full details on all the customs including their current locations.
