FX 09 in Orlando has come and gone with style and substance. The show organizers set out to raise the level of art toys presented and did so with the strongest Project Vinyl area to-date. One of the highlights of this year’s programming was live painting by the guest artists.
Ron English stepped to the main stage this past Sunday and painted on live model Brittany for a little under an hour. Going abstract instead of focusing on his characters, Ron riffed off the model’s bikini building on the black and white stripes and polka dots. The audience was treated to seeing one of the genre’s top painters working live and on-the-fly.
