Muttpop and Monster5 : Early King Katch Sculpt

kk1

Muttpop fans..  time to pay attention.  You’re probably used to just scrolling through the blog and being on your way.  But this one is special.  Here are the very first shots of Muttpop’s King Katch sculpt in progress.  Drawn from the Tikitis comic by Fabien M, the next Lucha Libre figure (after the new Tequila drops) has a revised pose that differs from the original drawings – all the better to showcase his bad ass self.

Beyond the reveal of the new figure’s shape, the big news is that Japanese sculptor Monster5 has reunited with Muttpop for this project.  Long-time Muttpop fans will remember that Monster5 sculpted Tequila, El Panda, Red Demon and the Mini-Gobi figures.  Lucha Libre artist Gobi recently met Monster5 for the first time in Japan – hit the jump for pics. Note: The final figure will be slightly smaller due to "shrinkage".
