Disney’s STITCH EXPERIMENT 626 PROJECT Custom Art Tour offers a new look at the popular character from the Lilo and Stitch hit movie through the eyes of some of today’s brightest artists, designers, and customizers. Presented and produced by MINDstyle, the tour will feature hand-customized, one-of-a-kind artist versions of a special DIY Blank Stitch Vinyl (8”) created expressly for this high profile event.
The impressive list of participating artists reads like a who’s who and includes Buff Monster, Secret Base, Tenga, Suiko, Cameron Tiede, Joe Simko, David Cooper, Pocket Full of Monsters, Anthony Clarkson, Camilla d’Errico, Scribe, Triclops, Reactor 88, Motorbot, Brent Nolasco, Chris Ryniak, Cris Rose, DEVILROBOTS, Mad Barbarians, Touma, Colorblok, Matias Vigliano of Doma, PeekABoo Monster, Hans Bacher, Christian Tamondong, Egg Fiasco, Kathie Olivas, Brandt Peters, Weewilldoodle, Mori Chack, CJ Metzger, Ron English, Miss Mindy and Mizna Wada are some of the other artists with must-see customs…
The tour kicks off on November 28th at the MINDstyle LIFEstyle creative space, 2nd Floor, DNM (Delay No Mall) in Hong Kong with a launch event co-presented by 3-Mix featuring 50+ submissions including pieces from some of Hong Kong’s most talented artists such as Winson Ma and Kenny Wong from Brothersfree, Ultraman, Toby HK, Jason Siu, Ephonso Lam as well as trend setting publications and brands including Milk Magazine, Touch Magazine, how2work, graphicairlines, ARR and more.
After the initial stop in HK, the tour will travel throughout ‘09 and culminate fittingly with a final stop in Hawaii, the setting for Lilo and Stitch. Additional custom Stitch figures will be added throughout the tour making it bigger and better with each passing stop.
