Claudio Sanchez's Kill Audio - Munky King Signing (11.8.08)

Kill Audio (7.5"), designed by Coheed and Cambria front man Claudio Sanchez and produced is proving to be an extremely popular figure with Toy Tokyo selling out of their stock (96) pieces at Claudio's signing and Rotofugi moving another 60 figures at the Chicago signing. Featuring removable knives and cleavers, the Bloody edition produced by Evil Ink Comics / VinylCut toys retails for $50  and  is clearly striking a chord with toy collectors and Claudio's fans.  Next up,  an LA signing/release at Munky King Melrose this Saturday, November 8th from 12:30 to 2:30 PM.  Come on out to meet Claudio, pick up a figure and get it signed.

The star of an online comic (soon to be comic book series), Kill Audio is an immortal troll who is constantly irritated by his nemesis/friend Fix-ler who carries out repeated futile attempts to kill him.  Next on the toy front is  a black 'n white (non-bloody) edition is due shortly directly from Kill-Audio.com  Looks like the future is right for original crossover projects done right.

The cool and cutting-edge folks at VIMBY( Video in My Backyard) have just posted an office visit of the STRANGEco world HQ.  Co-founders Jim Crawford and Gregory Blum serve as the friendly guides on the tour which includes a retrospective of previous toy projects. Give it a watch.

Patrick Chow's X'Mas Ballmer Drops Soon

HK artist and founder of G999, Patrick Chow creates dope and unique ball-joint figures.  His X'Mas Ballmer was completed and shown last year as a one-on-of-a-kind piece. Patrick created the distinctive figure as a comment on the lonely souls who are alone on Christmas.  On the outside looking in, the warm glow of parties observed but not enjoyed glint off the characters eyes.  The original one-off figure was completed and shown last year.

We're excited to report that G999 will be releasing a limited-edition of the X'Mas Ballmer just in time for this year's holiday season.  The vinyl  figure stands 13" tall, and is connected together via hooks and rubber cords.  The price for this old-school figure ?  $50 -- a steal in our book.

Greg ‘Craola’ Simkins – Red Keel Haul Cleg (11.6)

The cat’s out of the bag… or is that the elephant crab ?  STRANGEco  will drop this red, speedy edition of Greg 'Craola' Simkins's Keel Haul Cleg this week.  While the original Cap'n Rotnclaw is cool, Keel Haul Kleg is even weirder and in our book -- all the better for it.  Pop culture references are often lurking in the backgrounds of Greg's work, so this flashy red edition is fitting, cool, and funny. 

The special red edition drops at Craola's It Wanders West solo this Thursday, November 6th [7-10 PM] at Gallery 1988 Los Angeles.  Be there --amazing solo show + new toy drop = insanity.
