James Jarvis – King Ken Minis
First seen this summer at SDCC, James Jarvis’s King Ken minis (3.5”) from STRANGEco will drop worldwide on November 22nd. We’ll admit that the concept of shrinking the original 12” King Ken down to mini size seemed a tad peculiar at first, the new mini sculpt is impressive with its beefier proportions. This series is blind assorted with the following ratios – Gray 1:4, Orange 1:4, Purple 1:6, Blue 1:6, Green 1:8 and the Chase 1:24. Each blind box has a suggested retail of $7.99.

Pez’s First Vinyl
Barcelona based Graff Writer Pez is well-known for his prolific work featuring his signature grinning fish. He has steadily built a reputation and a following since his start in the ‘90s and is currently touring with The London Police, Flying Fortress and others.
He’s now following in the footsteps of both of those artists with the upcoming release of his first vinyl toy of his fish character. Produced by new french brand NUKOD, the figure will stand 8” high and be limited to 500 pieces. It’s good to see more cats translating their time-tested and proven characters into vinyl.
If you’re in LA, be sure to check out Pez’s art at the opening of Big Geezers at the Scion Space in Century City this Saturday, November 7th [7-10 PM]. [Graff Image: Pasota.com Flickr]

MINDstyle’s Abarham Obama by Ron English
Ron English’s Abraham Obama monotone painting (reproduction shown below) was originally commissioned by William Kerr, owner of Gallery XIV in Boston, for the “A Politic” show and later became a series of Warholesque rainbow-hued posters. This subtle yet powerfully thought-provoking image will soon be available as a vinyl bust in several colors. MINDstyle’s Abraham Obama by Ron English stands 16” tall and was sculpted by the talented Vin Teng.
The white members only edition is already sold out. Toy Tokyo’s exclusive black gloss edition will be released later this month. That will be followed by the green edition which is exclusive to Fresh Manila. The Abraham Obama bust editions are limited to 50 pieces and each bust retails for $200 each. Upcoming exclusive editions will be released globally to support world-wide interest in the election and Ron English’s iconic image.
Regardless of your political views, today is an exciting and perhaps pivotal day. The Abraham Obama figure captures the tremendous energy of Barack Obama’s campaign and the presidential race as a whole while pondering its place in and connections to history.
