Cameron Tiede’s 10” MADL

Cameron Tiede is pretty busy with a recent move, but still found time to rock out a 10” MADL for the MADL Citizens show which goes down at LIFT next Saturday, October 25th. This piece features a new more abstract style which he has been exploring recently. He showcased it in a few paintings at his recent show at La Luz De Jesus and also used it on his custom Yoka shown during SDCC '08. Nice and clean.

Limited to 50 pieces, the whimsical 8” resin figure is available through Patch Together for a very reasonable $44.99 and will come with a stand. Also look for a small number of special editions shortly from VISEone directly on viesone.de.
When we first saw the raw unpainted sculpts, it had a very gritty fantasy look. With the final paint job, Sea Hunter has an animated character vibe. In fact, this final version reminds use just a bit of the Gargolyes cartoon.

MYBU
The innovative MYBU platform toy is newcomer BUBU Co. Ltd’s flagship product. MYBU is designed around couples – each of the editions comes in a male and female version. The innovation comes from the intricately designed figure which can be easily separated into its individual parts for pretty much endless mix and match madness. Think Playmobil but more intricate – almost every piece of clothing/hair you see is removable. Each figure has a base design (“undressed”) that can be seen by removing all the clothes/accessories.
The five current editions – Astrobu, Icreambu, Trendyblu, Babyblu, Debonairbu, and Trendybu each retail for $9.99 per figure. The figures are distributed in the USA through Diamond Comics Distribution.
