Thomas Han @ Baby Tattooville

DSC_9612

Baby Tattooville ‘08 has come and gone and it was a blast.  There were a few surprises including guest artist Thomas Han.  Thomas spoke briefly about the GID Animal Pusher (ed. of 150) that was given to all attendees courtesy of Munky King who was one of the event sponsors. We’ll probably take flack for this but the printing on this figure is really nice, it’s a great toy.  If you haven’t seen it in person go check it out, you might be surprised.  More shots of the Animal Pusher after the jump!

Seen: Marka27’s Killa Instinct Drop @ SURU

Blokhedz,Marka,Nathan

Marka27 dropped his latest dope vinyl, Killa Instinct from BIC Plastics, @ SURU this past Saturday.  While it was painful that we couldn’t make the event, we’re stoked to bring you a look at the release party which also featured new original art from Marka.  These pics were sent by Marka and others are from the sweet SURU blog.

With Killa Instinct Marka demonstrates that he’s just begun to  breathe 3D life into his drawings and the vinyl scene as well.  If you’d like to grab one of these figures, hit up SURU who has them for online purchase ($95, ed of 300).

BEit Dude – Skateboarder and Rapper

BEitDudeSkateboardJump

Kicktoys just dropped new shots of painted versions of the Skateboarder and Rapper versions of their upcoming BEit Dude figures.  BEit Dude offers a twist on designer toys – the face is designed to accomodate a photo or drawing for personalization as can be seen  on the rapper (after the jump).  The skateboarder dudes seem to have pre-designed faces (snap-ins ?). The figure definitely has an urban vibe with the super short legs and elongated torso.  Also, the accessories look very good.

We’re curious to see if people embrace the innovative yet potentially kitschy concept.  From the pictures it looks like the figures may be heavily articulated (segmented arms).  We’ll try to determine if this is actually the case.
